Investors who leave their cryptocurrency in the custody of an exchange are like people who invest in Starbucks even though they don't drink their coffee. They might make good technical money, but their actual understanding of use cases and value propositions is questionable.

Yes. So you and I buy shares in companies but we don’t actually have custody. That’s a whole separate topic. We want keys to confer ownership. And they do in the sense they possession is 9/10ths. I’m with you. Don’t leave much or any on exchange.

I think the ability to keep coins without any single person having full custody is perhaps even more disruptive than for everyone to have the ability to hold their own.
