If the #EATLancet diet recommendations are not based on environmental considerations as the EAT Science Director now admits, then it is entirely based on weak epidemiological evidence that is questionable at best.

#EATLancet is basically the nobility telling the peasantry to eat their oats and beans and leave the meat for the good noble people who alone deserve it.
Except whereas now their recommendation translated into real life amounts to promoting addictive, highly proceessed, high-sugar and high carb and high processed plant oil food without the heavy farm work exercise that went with the oats and beans.

I've enjoyed the backlash to EAT-Lancet. They never saw it coming. The internet, a collection of end-runs around mainstream narratives, guaranteed the peasants wouldn't shut up and take their insulin. Low-carb, paleo and now carnivory are almost entirely net-powered phenomena.
