All the cool progs love hi tech and double-love Bitcoin until they figure out they can't control it.

Once progressives realize Bitcoin is the antithesis of Socialism, they just label it as “greed” or “ponzi” or whatever generic term. I’ve seen this transformation happen to dozens of leftists. They either lose all interest in cryptocurrency, or they go to Ethereum.

The progs that show up at Ethereum meetups aren't so bad and often can contribute valuable labour. For example, you can get them interested in things like
