Nice going anti-capitalists.
Taxpayers wanted a BETTER deal not to KILL the deal. Those elected officials who fought @amazon tooth and nail without flexibility just lost 25,000 jobs for their constituents and the people of New York City. #AmazonHQ2 #NYChttps://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2019/02/14/amazon-hq-nyc-dropped-amid-local-political-opposition/2870130002/ …

Yea right Amazon is the only business in town. You are the economically illiterate enemy of the free market here sir.
-
P.S. why don't you and the pro-Amazon politicos advocate for a general tax reduction, available for *all* businesses? Because you area hypocritical anti-free-market assholes, that is why.

Negotiated behind the scene out of the public eye where the politicians can be threatened and bribed. Call that capitalism
Good point @NickSzabo4 -
If somebody has sordid pics of Bezos, imagine how many purchases of sordid products and recordings of sordid conversations Bezos has on many politicians.

Most people cannot even fathom the idea of a free market, let alone the enormous benefits that would come from it.

Any deal where a city has to pay Amazon for the privilege of Bezos headquartering there just smells fishy.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day, and
@AOC is right here. Other job creators are not getting that tax break. It's a special hand-out for a powerful corporation; -
Other job creators don't make as much of an impact on state/area credibility, investment & awareness. Queens & NY would have gotten a boost in public perception, further capital & more interested corps. Not so big of an impact when it's 100s of smaller biz. That 3B lost 30B.
