Second attempt today, through the #SnowStorm.
Sending free #Bitcoin over #JS8Call [7.077Mhz]
To RX you don't need a Ham license–in most countries. Get your SDR connected to @js8call and a 7Mhz (40m) antenna.
*(for experimental non-commercial purpose)

You next? Get your rig up!
-
Any links for more information / tutorials on this (apart from that Nick's presentation from Scaling Bitcoin)? I'm actually interested in shortwave radio broadcasting for Bitcoin.
-
As far as I know no one else has done public work about sending BTC transactions long distance via radio except for
@NickSzabo4 and@eiaine. I know of short range, local attempts. But not HF. If you're aware of any please let me know, I'd like to talk to them. -
I'd love to talk to them too. Great stuff
@SamuelPatt! -
@eiaine do you still have your rig setup? -
i still have my rig! it's a
@RedPitayaCom SDR! the antenna is down right now though, need to find an inconspicuous place to put it back up... -
Long ass random wire antenna might work for RX, ping when you have a setup
-
hmm i wonder if i could use my 1/4-mile electric fence as RX antenna. it has a grounding system and everything :)
