      @alegw Awesome analysis. Agree with the conclusions. However this may dampen "mainstream" interest in Bitcoin. Most mainstream people & institutions don't care about Bitcoin helping people in oppressed countries if there's no profit for them in it.

      "Mainstream" interest in Bitcoin has seldom produced anything better than temporary bubbles, "blockchain not Bitcoin", and ignorant interference with design and development.
