It is security 101 : you have to expect attacks on the weakest links of the process you are trying to secure. The history of Enigma cryptanalysis during WWII is a perfect real life illustration of that.
-
So what do public exchanges have to do with being the weakest link in a decentralized blockchain? Like comparing bananas to monkeys. Of course nonekys eat bananas but the fruit has nothing to do with the monkey being dead
-
Because a crypto coins have to interact with reality at some point.
-
Again words in the wind, are we talking blockchain or philosophy here? Blockchain is one thing reality is another, let's not confuse terms just so to be right
-
But what interests people is how this idea/philosophy interacts with the world otherwise they are just ideas... So if you perform a DOS attack on bridges the whole utility of this beautiful idea collapses.

I find his argument unsatisfying. It attacks the user interface... which is still in its infancy (like the internet in 1995) instead of examining faults in first principles. User interface will undoubtedly improve... the first principles are what is important here.
