You live on a very bizarre planet. On this planet, rhere are millions of disputes on the Internet every day, all resulting from content relayed by IP (including vast numbers of financial disputes BTW).

"involved in fewer disputes" and "disputes about the protocol definition" are 2 different things. disputes between protocol users vs disputes between protocol designers.

Don't get me wrong ... I totally agree with you ... but TCP / IP is worth trillions because "they" let it grow that big because "they" have control over it ...
