Would you agree that governance of, say, the TCP/IP protocol has historically mostly adhered to Szabo’s law? If so, do you think that was an error?
Have upgrades to the TCP/IP protocol ever been abused to diddle with a particular user's data? AFAIK the vast majority of open source projects do not do this.

You live on a very bizarre planet. On this planet, rhere are millions of disputes on the Internet every day, all resulting from content relayed by IP (including vast numbers of financial disputes BTW).

"involved in fewer disputes" and "disputes about the protocol definition" are 2 different things. disputes between protocol users vs disputes between protocol designers.
