Nick what happens when a State allows us to buy BTC and then makes it illegal to withdrawal? I get that 'you don't need to withdrawal BTC' is a std reply but doesn't that scenario hold true here as well.
You should withdraw it from the exchange you bought it from as soon as you've bought it. It's designed to be held personally not by a custodian.

All my BTC (barring the ones I trade with) are held on a HW. In India, our FED (i.e RBI) has killed BTC liquidity by refusing banking services to exchanges. It isn't like I've been waiting to sell everything but liq tiny fractions to cover living expenses have become.....

tough....So what goes in can't come out resonates here I think. It isn't like the BTC economy has timelocks, but bills & food that could have been paid with BTC has now been curbed due to regulation.

@WazirXIndia have been working their way around so the currency language between$INR and$BTC stays healthy. I'm sure as governments change the regulations will as well in time. -
BTW Nick, is it in theory possible for a trader to trade while holding their own private keys? I understand that active orders (orderbook) & open positions will be locked as it creates a double spending problem but what about available balance that is sitting on a exchange?
