Those are the manners of your local culture. And apparently those of Twitter HQ, which wants to enforce their very local culture on the world. In my culture, and in most cultures of the world, it is bad manners to lie about biological sex.
P.S. reminds me of those offended by use of the term"BCash" by those of us who wanted to avoid users confusing that confused fork with Bitcoin. A namee does not get to automatically and unilaterally dictate their name when it can cause confusion. Even moreso for descriptions.

The Bcash comparison is not accurate. The use of "Bcash" was part of an effort to subvert an obvious and cynical branding attack on bitcoin, the goal of which was to steal its market. Trans people aren't trying to steal femaleness or maleness and take over.
