Curious that the academic cryptographers in the space are launching protocol with neither POW or POS, but randomly selected nodes voting
Randomly selected sock puppets? I'm not sure much of academia has realized that traditional Byzantine consensus, in contrast to PoW-based Nakamoto consensus, falls to Sybil attacks. Secure identity is an extremely bad security assumption.
