That's a good point, so it's fair to criticize his vulgar choice in wallpaper or say he's a cheesy pickup artist. But comparing him to an abuser like Weinstein is too much based on what we actually know about him.

He treats women like hookers. He lives the lifestyle of a serial woman abuser.

I respect the hell out of you, but strongly disagree on this point. It's not fair to draw a line from a guy being a "donjuan" to an abuser. His comments to Congress were false & misleading. He's worthy of mockery for his lifestyle. But I can't get behind comparing to Weinstein.

They are also related, as Elaine stated above, by high time preference. The guy believes in spending over saving and in using women for his short-term pleasure over developing long-term relationships and family.

the OP was actually intended to highlight his pattern of partying with alleged-serial-rapists, but this is a good point too :)

btw, Harvey Weinstein's most salient feature isn't that he (allegedly) assaults women; it's that he long positioned himself as a feminist and champion of women & minorities while acting like a loathsome cad in private. in that respect, Nouriel is exactly the same.

I agree that they're similar in hypocrisy. My objection stems from what the "Weinstein" name conjures up viscerally in most people's minds.
