If you ask economists today what they think about Bitcoin, they will provide the same answer: “gold has scarcity and intrinsic value, fiat is used to pay taxes, so what do cryptocurrencies do? They’re wasteful and much like digging holes for no purpose at all.”. Nothing’s changed
-
Eh, this is why we need better high education.

-
Sometimes I wonder if Nikola Tesla had the same struggles competing against Edison’s influence over the electricity market. The wealthy elite is always defensive in regards to disruptive inventions, and their hound dog intellectuals tend to be equally hard-headed.
-
I think there's a certain curve people fall into... Let's say the 60% of people simply don't care about the 'money debate'. Of the remaining 40%, 3/4 fall into the 'useless intellectual' spiral- whereas they feel their formal education makes them intelligent and grants authority.
-
They encounter these arguments and blither thru them with moot points, like someone advocating for more central government in our lives while simultaneously admitting that it is a root of many systemic problems we face. The last 1/4 of us know it's not a money debate.
-
E.g. we are 10% fighting the 'idiot intellectual' 30% that are promoting systems that more than likely harm most of the remaining 60% (depending where they fall on the economic spectrum)
-
It's like being a proponent of evolution in a religiously fervent town 100 yrs ago. Maybe that's not a great analogy. But it's hard to get people to buck such rooted beliefs, especially if they got 'accreditation' thru their 'noble institute' that placed blinders on their visionpic.twitter.com/9LppwriaNt

I think a better comparison is Plato’s cave. It’s not the individual’s fault for being stuck in the cave, but thankfully the internet helps us escape (or at least give us the illusion of freedom).
