This is not a behaviour that is justifiably emulated. These people can afford to ignore all technology for the foreseeable future and are shielded by their fortunes. It is stupid to think that disconnecting kids from technology in their formative years is good because Gates does.

No. Wrong. Gates and Jobs and others acquired their fortunes via a ruthless suppression of competition, the wholesale appropriation of the work of others, and most importantly being born into rich families that could withstand the financial shocks of repeated business failures.

99.9% of rich kids don't succeed like these guys did, they had a lot more going for them than that. (p.s. the parents that raised Jobs were middle class not rich).
