Hitler confiscated guns before killing over 13 million people. Stalin confiscated guns before killing over 20 million people. Mao confiscated guns before killing at least 45 million people. Every mass murdering dictatorship took the guns before killing large amounts of people.

In other words ... in Europe people trust government so much that they enjoy that the government has the huge centralized power of all guns, as if a democracy is never going to turn into dictatorship. In USA or Switzerland, people does not trust government so much.
Oddly enough, it's the countries with the toughest gun control, i.e. that put high trust in those strangers called government, that have been historically the biggest victims of dictatorship.

historically ? past is not future, the love for guns in america is a complex cultural phenomena of a violent society. In spain, police have almost have to ask permision to use a gun.

I don't care about what goverment allow or not allow, but i care about what people of one society request from their goverment. If they request guns, probably is because they need, the best is not live where people need them.
