Facts remain true no matter who says them. All groups have occupied and colonised. The belief that historical grievances should be paid by members of groups by class guilt is actually the standard pre- and historically.

p.s. the "facts" in these cases are often in fact mighty slippery in their provenance and equivocal in their supposed consequences, and the farther back in time we go the more slippery and more equivocal they get.
