The Department of Justice is a very insular group of unelected and permanent DC area residents, on average very left wing in their orientation, who have extreme hatred for Trump voters and have been trying to disenfranchise us since he started winning primaries.

Well, judges are elected or nominated, in the case of T.S. Ellis by Ronald Reagan, jurors are selected randomly, and laws are voted by elected officials. Democracy lies in the tension between sources of legitimacy.
