Frankly, for a supposed tyrant, Trump’s awfully restrained. I can imagine the “unhinged” things I’d be tempted to say and do in his place, all within the power of the presidency. On the evidence, Trump wields power differently than others, but not injudiciously or capriciously.

No, it''s actually straightforward enforcement of federal law, which under the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land (i.e. it trumps state and local laws, which are null and void if in conflict with it).
