The rate of thefts & many other crimes is higher in most of these countries than in U.S., probably not coincidentally. P.S. they aren't unarmed, they are typically armed to a similar degree relative to the kinds of armaments wielded by the most common criminals in each country.

, but even by your argument, firearms are no deterrent. Any given society will have a level of crime, rates normally determined by enfranchisement. As you have guns you have more shootings.
