Nick. Is there a place where you write about your views on politics in detail? I’m frankly confused as I always assumed you would have anarchist leanings - the last six months appear to indicate a real reverence towards the state (or worse, to a single point of failure - Trump)
Different tools for different problems. I am strongly in favor non-violent security such as Bitcoin where it is possible. But alas, most political problems are not nearly yet amenable to coercion-resistant security and yet urgently need to be solved.

I take it your view is close(r) to that of Taleb - that social decisions are best contained within tight geographic confines in which consequences are more likely to apply to all participants?

It is better to decide within communities than across them, but I don't agree with the geographical aspect. As we move further into the digital age communities are progressively less tied to geography. Real property is still tied, but very little else need be or will be.
