Or alternative take, former top Intel official who served in multiple administrations in different capacities is punished for sounding the alarm after seeing worst fears confirmed after disastrous, albeit illuminating Helsinki conference.

Sure, avoiding nuclear war by refusing to participate in D.C.'s Russia derangement syndrome is such a disaster.
-
P.S. The American voters and electoral college knew Trump was much friendlier with Russia than Clinton, and elected him in spite of, or even in part because of that. Elections have consequences under our Constitution, and hating those consequences is zero excuse for sedition.

Nick. Is there a place where you write about your views on politics in detail? I’m frankly confused as I always assumed you would have anarchist leanings - the last six months appear to indicate a real reverence towards the state (or worse, to a single point of failure - Trump)

Different tools for different problems. I am strongly in favor non-violent security such as Bitcoin where it is possible. But alas, most political problems are not nearly yet amenable to coercion-resistant security and yet urgently need to be solved.

Thx. Reading. Best,

Nick what’s your take on Russian hacking/infiltration/influencing/psy-ops during the election ? Did it happen or is it a made up thing ?
-
Hard to say. It's easy to lie about secret evidence, and even public digital evidence is often easy to make up. The discussions of these alleged events have involved far more heat than light. Our intelligence bureaucrats need to be much more transparent about their evidence.
-
What do you think about the report from former intelligence experts concluding it was an internal leak? https://www.thenation.com/article/a-new-report-raises-big-questions-about-last-years-dnc-hack/ …
-
At least as plausible as Russians actually having done the hacking, but reports on it are few and far between because it violates the foaming at the mouth narrative on this topic among the D.C. journalist community and Democratic DoJ officials.

Frankly, for a supposed tyrant, Trump’s awfully restrained. I can imagine the “unhinged” things I’d be tempted to say and do in his place, all within the power of the presidency. On the evidence, Trump wields power differently than others, but not injudiciously or capriciously.
-
Exactly. I would have long ago fired the anti-democratic, anti-Constitutional unelected bureaucrats that seditiously tried to rig the election and are now trying to overthrow his constitutionally elected Presidency.
