Because most people do Not want to self custody. The only people in crypto now are power users, developers and traders. If you wan this to be a global thing, then they will want something that is easy and regulated. That’s facts.
P.S. it is, and indeed has been for meny years, a global thing, power users alone or otherwise. Wall Street on the other hand is a local thing, which many people in many other parts of the globe rightfully do not trust.

I'm from South Africa. People here don't trust local asset managers, let alone Wall Street. Complaints: high fees, bad service, low disclosure, withdrawal penalties etc People never had an alternative. Wonder what happens when you cut out: "your call is very important to us"
