I'm really curious why you would say that, or how I may have misunderstood that phrase. The way the words are used here suggests that no software upgrades should ever happen except in extreme cases, mandated by knowledgeable people. That's backwards.

Yeah. As still a relative newcomer to crypto, too much to learn, I’m amazed that so many projects are trying to redo governance systems that humans have been fucking up for centuries. I don’t get the point.

It's because, like in everything tech, there's a religious-level belief in the perfectibility of systems and removing human judgement and no humanities people involved.
