Why is it requiring me to confirm via an email address? That doesn't stop bots. I'm not going to link the account to my email address, please turn this sign-up requirement off and I'll sign up.

Hey Nick I'm hearing that you can use any email you want and that they can turn off bots. Moderation is local level.

If I use a throw-away email it's a PITA for me and useless for account recovery. Just turn it off -- it's going to discourage other new users and ruin the network effect, making it pointless for me to join in the first place.
