We need more easy to use decentralized crypto platforms like @BitTubeApp to drain the cesspool of centralized tech conglomerates which act as arms of the state media.

-
People underestimate this massive move towards censorship. The fact that Apple, Facebook, and google worked in unison should strike fear that the three largest intelligence gathering corporations for the state are controlling what data can move into public realm.
-
Simple, stop using their products.
-
Not so simple. Network effects, regulations suppressing competitors, etc.
-
Very true principle tho.
-
So are property rights, but I don't store twenty dollar bills out on a sidewalk and then complain when it's missing the next morning.

Nick, Are you on any other platforms right now?
@MastodonProject ,@peepethApp ? Wondering when the shift to decentralized social media will take place. -
Mastodon's UI is inscrutable, until they fix it they won't attract much of an audience. Will check out peepeth.
-
Peepeth puts the IPFS hash of posts on the Ethereum blockchain, idk why you would want tweets to be immutable global state. Problematic design IMO
-
Why problematic?
-
Have you never wanted to edit or delete a post you put out on the internet?
-
You can achieve censorship-resistance without "an immutable record everyone on earth agrees on," i.e. a blockchain. One way to do it would be to pass the data around p2p and only replicate it among those who care to see your posts, secure-scuttlebutt style.
-
ssb feeds are also immutable chains. Pushing to ethereum is global, can be anonymous and doesn't go down (not saying its efficient). ssb doesn't provide such guarantees.
-
Don't like the append-only log aspect of ssb, like the local-first approach. Because unless you're Wikileaks, most social media posts don't need to be stamped into a global ledger. Only your friends care. Both are pseudonymous

The ones who control the banks have created a system to maintain power and control of the money, media, etc. we are so far down the wormhole that the average citizen is completely unaware and if made aware they usually reject the truth to continue living in a comfortable lie...

But seriously, I wonder if the majority of Americans prefer freedom of speech over consumerism, or more specifically, free platforms. I highly doubt they do. They gave up financial freedom for cars & houses they couldn’t afford.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The gov solutions that I will be purposing to solve are : 1) Limit Discussion to the Negatives - Defining wrongs 2) Limit Service & Laws to 1 yr 3) Make Representatives pseudo random, pseudo elected 4) Make Councils public, annual, & deep Thus defining private vs public corp

It is no coincident that "fake news" has risen to prominence when social media started to challenge the near monopoly of ppl in power to control the social narrative of the day. "Fake news" is an attempt to regain the control. Watch out for those who want to define it.

Right, but they are allowed to decide how to run their companies.Tyrannical rule would be the govt telling them how to run it.There are plenty of platforms he can still use. He's not banned from the internet. He's bad for business. He'll go to patreon or his own site and be fine

I would normally agree with you but under this administration, I highly highly doubt they are getting tech firms to block their base from their platforms.

I'm making exactly one assumption. Its well known the govt pressures tech companies to do things. Google has been pretty open with this. Don't need veritas and their slice and dice reporting to know that. This admin wouldn't want to silence their own supporters.

No. Individuals could never initiate or sustain a coordinated effort to pressure a billion dollar company to do anything if there isn't support through official channels. You would need a group of individuals high up to do it and you could hardly hide that from the Pres.
