Andreas says that the routing problem or the optimization of it for lightning network is not our current priority. He says as of now we need better UI and ease-of-use for end-users. What do you guys think? Coz is it really that hard to make better UI?
We may be talking about different routing problems. I am talking about the routing problems that cause users to see "no route found" messages or similar. By far the most hostile part of the Lightning UX and crucial to solve.

Yeah those are different set of problems. The main issue there I see is the low reliability of routing payments of larger amounts. That part is fundamental to the contractual binding LN imposes on liquidity and will likely stay even as network matures. Other issues are solvable.

One possibility is that the norm will be dual on/off chain wallets that can use on-chain as a fallback for sufficiently large amounts. Has to be invisible to the user except for a simple param or two; the normal end-user is certainly not going to navigate through the routes.

From UX perspective, this should improve user experience for sure.
