Gold was a medium of wealth transfer, not just an investment. Today Bitcoin is an OK long-term SoV (will improve as volatility declines) but a spectacular MoWT. We don't really know about the "long term" for Bitcoin yet. There's truth to the point that gold has been used for millennia, and Bitcoin for a but a decade. Rational analysis and trend-to-date strongly *suggests* Bitcoin will become a good SoV (& @ a way higher price) in future
