A child in Yemen is the same as a child anywhere else in the world. But a childhood in Yemen is not the same as a childhood anywhere else in the world.

UNHCR’s press release following my visit to Greece. 👇🏻 It is especially urgent to focus on refugee children. We need to make sure, even extra sure (because they are children) that they are accommodated in safe places and not exposed to risk.

Yesterday, 26 children were reportedly killed in attacks in ad-Durayhimi, Yemen. Children and families continue to be victims of intense and senseless violence. UNICEF calls on all parties to the conflict to stop the war on children in Yemen once and for all.

The sheer staggering ignorance. In comprehensive inner London last year 59% of disadvantaged pupils got good GCSEs in English and Maths. In selective Kent it was 35.6%.
