        I was in the room. The only way he could have spoken would have been to shout over continued chanting protesters. He was prevented from speaking, and that was the protesters’ clear intent.

        The immigration policies of this administration are an abomination ... but democracy dictates that we listen to contrary views and engage in dialogue ... shame on these lawyers and law students for not recognizing that

        Yikes. “Middle ground” is just really inaccurate here. Go to Matamoros, Juarez, Tijuana, Reynosa, etc., and tell the thousands of little kids and families vulnerable to kidnapping, sexual assault and other crimes about how DHS policy under McAleenen is somehow the middle ground.
