Stop your Hypocrisy #Habeck! Namibia & Germany signed a deal for Hydrogen. If my country is willing to give Germany renewable energy than why do you have to destroy #LΓΌtzerath and at the same time shopping for gas In Africa. #LΓΌtzerathBleibt #LΓΌtziBleibt

#Braverman is beyond gross. I gave up finding words to describe her in a tweet. It comes to this - Braverman is not only utterly unfit for public office but also to be a Member of Parliament. But this is what the Conservative party has become.
Quote Tweet
This is gross. Utterly gross. It’s possible that the full, unedited answer might offer some mitigation but Braverman’s defence of using Nazi vocabulary to talk about refugees, in response to a Holocaust survivor, is just horrific. twitter.com/FreefromTortur…

Excellent work by the , exposing the disgraceful dishonest behaviour of these organisations (& people behind them) based in Tufton Street.

The UAE chose an oil company head to lead the COP28 climate talks it will host in Dubai later this year. The fox is not only in the henhouse, the fox is in charge of the henhouse. This is alarming news for global climate action

We need a COP President with a vision to end fossil fuels in charge of these climate talks, not someone whose job it is to sell fossil fuels to the world. Having an oil boss leading the talks would be a step too far. Clearly the inmates would have taken over the asylum.

We are getting pummeled by this storm in Paso Robles wine country. This is Vineyard Drive near the entrance to our vineyard. All along Vineyard and Adelaida there are trees and branches down, water spilling over, and mudslides like in the last scene on Adelaida Rd.

I thought last winter was an extreme, warm&dry winter I had never seen before. Based on our real-time tools at , looks like we are experiencing an even worse deficit in snow water resources now. Also, snow is melting all across Italy, much earlier than usual πŸ˜”
Quote Tweet
According to our estimates, we are currently missing about 69% of water from snow at national scale. In other words: we are experiencing a larger deficit than last year, which was already an historical drought year.

Thanks for sharing. discussing committed ice melt on Greenland & how it contributes to the global picture.
Quote Tweet
1/2 Ice sheet models for ice melt / sea level don't include some ice processes and are underestimating potential sea level rise by a lot. Reasonable to expect 50cm from *Greenland alone* by end of century. @MrMatthewTodd @ClimateBen

In 2023 the framing of 1.5-2Β°C mitigation is clear. 1) a rapid Marshall-style decarbonisation of existing energy systems/technologies, from our homes to powerstations &public transport to industry. 2) regulate for deep & immediate cuts in energy use by us wealthy hi-energy users.
