That's a health risk to those inside, this is a epidemiological risk to our whole society. A different reaction in kind applies.

So if a guy is in jail for burglary and gets released is he gonna respect the mask mandate? He has already demonstrated his disrespect for other people and his high risk tolerance with regards to himself. Are you a guy who believes every jailhouse sob story?

Even if he doesn't that's still better than congregate settings with little or no capability to shelter. He should at least get the opportunity.

How about for society? Where holding people in mass incarcerated settings is posing a risk to our societal stability judged by our doctors to be greater than the value of holding those incarcerated?

What do doctors know about societal stability? Not their area of expertise. Ever hear of a “god complex”? Very common among MDs. To you CJR will always be worth the costs. To me it’s just stupid because why would anyone act better when you take consequences off the table?
