This is not even true. Look at Transformers, Star Trek, and James Bond. All of them had at least one production that was affected heavily by the previous WGA strike.
Stop trying to revise history in favour of the MCU.
This is the first time a writer's strike has affected a franchise this big. Nothing else even comes close.
These films are intended to bring in a billion dollars at a time, and you better believe Disney plans financial quarters around them. https://variety.com/2023/film/news/marvel-blade-delayed-writers-strike-1235605030/…

Just shows how ignorant GS fans are.
First off, Warriors never had a 13 point lead.
And second, here is how lakers recovered from down 11:
Curry turnover
AD layup
Curry missed 3
AD made jump shot
Klay turnover
Lebron 2 free throws
DiVincenzo missed shot
Russell missed shot…Show more
As soon as the Warriors had a 13pt lead, the Refs knew they had to do something
To all my gsw fans turn your tv off the refs are on the Lakers side tonight so it’s over this game is an L.

Padme didn't die of "sadness." Sidious siphoned her life force away and used it to rejuvenate Anakin. It's not clearly conveyed but that's what happened. twitter.com/isabellaamidal…
I put no blame on Tony Gilroy for this, since Disney sent a memo to all its show runners being like “back to work!” But like man, this could all be avoided, if corps treated their talent with the respect and pay they deserve.
The difference between this one and strikes from the past. Used to be wholly money. Now… they don’t get us, value us, believe we’re essential. Got some news. Heard from Walt… He says stop the madness and give the story tellers what they want. AI didn’t create Mickey Mouse.

As the WGA continues its strike for better wages in the streaming era, songwriters, who can’t unionize because of a Reagan-era ruling, are looking on with both solidarity and envy.

People are STUNNED that writers don't want AI to replace them and that we'd strike over it. We should be grateful that tech and the free market smiled upon us.
Machines can't do what people do. The key to art isn't an algorithm. It's people, creativity, and stability.
We're gonna end with a society that's very comfortable looking at writers and artists as fools who picked a foolish career who deserve whatever pennies they get.
When you've been told for DECADES, that an English major or liberal arts degree is worthless and everyone should "learn to code," yeah, we're gonna end up with a society that thinks what writers do is easy and shouldn't be valued and AI is the solution. It's all connected!
Richard Dreyfuss defends Laurence Olivier's blackface performance of Othello: "Am I being told that I will never have a chance to play a Black man? Is someone else being told that if they’re not Jewish, they shouldn’t play [in] ‘The Merchant of Venice’?" https://trib.al/uuhqvzs
Lando: The shields are still up!
Ackbar: Are you sure?
Ackbar: we must retreat!
Lando: We won’t get another shot at this
Lando: engage the Star Destroyers
Ackbar: We won’t last long
Lando: longer than we will against the Death Star!
Man was calling QB audibles like Peyton
Rewatching Return of the Jedi in theaters made me realize how kind of racist Star Wars fans has become
Fans credit Ackbar’s leadership to blowing up the Death Star. That muthafucker wanted to retreat. It was Lando who was the leader & the guy who blew up the Death Star

People don’t understand the work & effort it takes to make audiences connect with no human characters in live action
Whether it’s animals, aliens, robots, or monsters; there is so much extra work to give the character oxygen compared to a regular character
I keep seeing takes like this and can’t help but wonder if maybe people are acting like this because they actually loved the film??
It’s an incredibly well made film made with a lot of love, and deserves all the plaudits it gets.
