Channels who make money off of other content creator's footage by making compilations are fucking awful. They can't come up with their own entertaining content, so they steal from others. I file DMCA every single time one of my clips shows up in these stupid fucking vids.

And no, crediting the person in the description or as a tag on the video is NOT enough. You must legally have permission from the creator to use their content unless it's for a NEWS type segment which falls under "fair use." It's SO EASY to just ask permission FFS

The problem is with this statement: even though we all HATE this... the real assholes who actually steal our content really DON’T give any shit about how we and our fans feel about this... It’s nice to see you posting about this issue.. but it’s

Um... Except for the fact that I filed a DMCA claim & their video was removed right after. It easily changes if people know they can file a copyright claim against it. The more people get punished for it, the more they'll stop doing it as well.

Yes. But understand that some people will keep re-uploading to the point that it would be way too much time spent on constantly filing DMCA claims. That being said, I’ve actually had accounts shutdown by

Not true at all. I had a clip from my stream where I was harassed by griefers reuploaded a hundred times - got every single one of them removed & many accounts shut down bc of it. You just need to have supporting evidence and properly report it.

If you're spamming other reports instead of properly filed DMCA claims, that's probably why they shut you down. Otherwise they wouldn't shut you down for filing DMCA in any case.

Well... this was back in 2015, but I provided proper information and full detail in my DMCA files. I remember having the email of termination claiming I did NOT own that video when it was on my channel first. Lol, you must be legit 100% pro on this stuff —

— but I quoted YouTube at the time because of the constant drama and crap I had to deal with. I’m just voicing in my opinion. Though I haven’t seen the new DCMA report site. Could you DM me the link? Because I’d love to try this all over again and hopefully this won’t happen.

Those 100 reports I did were back in 2014. It's the same now as it was then, just hit report flag on the video & follow the instructions for which reason.

Well that’s interesting then.
Oh well, the channel(s) have been terminated for a long time now. Just means I have to start all over again.
