It does have an effect, but tbh not a big one nor one big enough that is outrageous. My opinion. Wow tokens are a cool tool for blizz to control the market and a interesting variable who see wow as an economy simulator.

it would be a cool tool if it balanced incoming gold and outgoing gold. What happens when the gold exits through wowtoken to battlenet and then to Shiny New Game?

Does it? I mean the gold changes the owner. Thats the characteristics of the wow token. Some players get gold, but its not generated because it was farmed gold from another player. Some players give their gold away, but its not destroyed because another player gets it.
