It does have an effect, but tbh not a big one nor one big enough that is outrageous. My opinion. Wow tokens are a cool tool for blizz to control the market and a interesting variable who see wow as an economy simulator.
The news about the new game is what moved people to change the market in wow now, but its not like the ingame system of cod will change the flasks prices in wow^^ so, its not fully true to say that the games have inter depending markets
