I never played in vanilla. I joined in TBC, but even I can see that making changes to the vanilla experience is a recipe for disaster. The game should be exactly as it was back then, minus the game breaking bugs. Change begets change and not always for good. #WoWClassic #Warcraft
a very controvesial topic. I played vanilla, raided and did PvP. From an objective point of view: it was enjoyable for 2004, but it is garbage in 2018 ^^ i can list you a lot of reasons if you want. However: impossible to recreate the "feeling" we had back then. Time passed by.

Right, but that's what the people who played back then claim they want. I imagine many of them will get a rude awakening when they realize it's not exactly as they remember. There will be a community for it of course, but only if the game is as it was and not some faux copy of it

yeh, however blizz deploys the game, a lot of people will be disappointed. what matters from blizz perspective is to deploy a version that as many players (new and old) will play for long time, at the end blizz is a company. however i am happy for the people asking for vanilla^^
