The amount of honor it takes to catch up a character at this point in the season is astronomical. I have the advantage of my stream. A new player has an insane grind ahead of them. Initial pacing was nice, but to catch up now with current item levels is daunting @WarcraftDevs
Yeah, I guess caual players should have also some people to stomp over in random bgs. Anyway, being casual or not, gearing an alt is very frusgrating because gear matters. I guess it is the same process for super casual players who gear their main.

I am against throwing free gear at people, but there is undenibly a big gap between a fresh lvl 60 and geared (un)ranked people. The amount of time needed to close that gap should not be as big as it is right now, or there must be a way to make it less frustrating when 0 gear

THIS. Exactly what I mean. Thank you. And stats matter too. So it’s not like it’s making our life super easy. If we want stats then we still have to try get that gear or get lucky in the vault. It would by no means be throwing the best gear in our face. Just a convenience.
