I played more PvP in last 2-3 weeks than I have ever before in my 10+ years of WoW and Im starting to think PvP community is even more toxic than M+ community... Why are people like this?
Competitive mindset and frustration from not reaching the next step in the hamster wheel. I've been on both sides. The game itself tells us that "you have to achieve THIS and THAT to be one of THE BEST", so this competitive toxicity has been normalized for WoW endgame.

IMHO what we can do best as players to counter this is to not PUG endgame content, but try to make friends and communities in order to build a circle of people to play with. Such toxic trash is much less common there and people give each other room to learn and improve.

Yeah thats a good way to do it. And also what Ive done as well, I joined a few RBG communities and added a couple of people to play with. Its just problematic for me cos I play at semi-random times so I end up pugging a lot..
