Male/female, what is bad about those words? ( I am not a native speaker)
You'd normally use Man or Woman to describe people. Male/Female is reserved for technical descriptions of animals, connector/interface types, and so on. So referring to them as"Females" reduces them to the level of object or animals, not people.
And to some, that's the goal. They want to make it clear that they're superior to women, or women are only good to be objects that belong to them and should just obey their instructions. And robbing them of their status as a person is a way they enjoy oppressing women.
