The only issue is that nowadays many pvpers have to pve for gear. I wish they would add resilience back.

They did. Versatility is 40% better for pvp players, which is included in every pvp item

That's one of the best changes blizzard made. Even the possibility to choose one of 3 items instead of hoping for one item you need is a huge difference
