We won't know until it hits live. People with beta forget not everyone has beta and can test and give feedback. Their opinions on what's coming isn't always the popular one as many just parrot what their fave player says. Popular players shouldn't make decisions for the rest.

A lot of what they want from the conduits completely ruins and renders the conduit system useless when it is literally the artifact weapons they keep whining that they miss. Just extended and doesn't have Artifact Power to grind. Just more relic slots.

They want: weekly lockout to be taken away, to not have them bound to the Covenant, to be able to change in a raid/dungeon, to be able to swap whenever. Blizz shouldn't do all of that. I'd hate it if they did. My bf hates those opinions too.
