Shadowlands must be a success. I think a big wave of players that turned their back to blizz during BFA (and maybe the previous addon) will try shadowlands, but if it disappoints, then those players will hang their WoW-Career forever. I know it will be like that for me...

Unfortunately there’s a hardcore subset of the player base who will stick around no matter what, and insult you for pointing out critical issues in the game. Rather like people who still buy EA products, eg: Madden

It is everytime the same. First everyone loves the new expansion and at the end the most say it was bad even when they had fun. Sure BfA started with a bad Story line for the horde but it had great content patches and it ended also not Bad. Even if People Say N'zoth was to easy.

funny thing: I Think N'zoth was more like the classic raids where strengh was more important then just tactic what many players did want. But like always the bad thing weight more then the good things and get more attention even if they are only small.
