Warfronts had a huuuuge potential, but they were poorly implemented imho. The mix between scenario and RTS elements are not well balanced (a lot of waiting while siege units break the last defensives), and since it was basically impossible to lose...

... people just tabbed out the game; the LFR mentality kicked in. It could have been sooooo much better :/ and yes, we expected a PvP variant of it. That comes only now with the last patch of the expansion (8.3), when the 4th War is basically already over.
