Different reasons. A couple of times I have allowed nostalgia to destroy my memories from the past, by trying to recreate them playing old games again. It always felt far worse than I had in mind. Other reason: after 15 years wow I already "know" whats going on... (continued)

... so the magic cant be recreated, this would not be the magic world i saw first in 2005, i would not follow a nightelf saber mount for 10 minutes wondering if one day i could also ride one of those. I am already so meta that I would only see game systems, progression paths etc

Some weeks before launch a friend gave me video material from private servers to cut a promo video. After seeing the material I had to decline and doubted i would ever start classic (i havent). There is no interesting endgame there, so no reason to level that hard. My 2 cents
