They aren't that bad, and their purpose is to be a reward or goal to reach if one really wants that race for a toon. Handing them out without any work required would stop them from being Allied Races and defeat their purpose. They are practically nust cosmetic unlocks.
I gotta say I understand the problematic for casual/new/faction rerolling players though. Having to level a new char to max level, in order to grind rep, in order to be ABLE to create the character you want to play is a serious issue.
And what this game right now is exactly that: Attract new and returning players^^ I love the concept of allied races, and personally i am ok with this. But in the sake of making the game more accessible and attractive (and revive our game) there should be no classes/races locked
I see that side as well, but my concept is the allied races are like WoW new game plus. Not meant for your first play through and much like some of the best looking mounts, require a considerable about or effort or grinding to achieve.
