PvP will be all about farming Raid-Gear, broken consumables/gadget items, and have to have engineering as profession. Although the spell-batching allows "skilled countering" some stuff, some classes just 2-3 hit others within seconds and sometimes its just running around.
On how you "progress" your character, the system will go back to reward those investing a looooooot of time. In PvP you wont have a stand against players who have the time, although being half as skilled as you. Personally I cant afford that time, is it worth even trying then?
All of this is why i am not interested in classic at all. It will not hold up in todays world of game play
For the time being don't even try to criticize the "glorious masterpiece of gaming" that is classic, you will feel as if talking to a def wall and if not the zealous fanbois will eat you alive. Just let everyone hype it, rush it and see for themselves the experience.
The grindiness of it is what kept people who had nothing better to do (like me at the time) busy and invested. That's how it was back then, so it makes sense that it will be the same. The time it takes makes it feel rewarding. Things aren't handed to casual players in classic .-.
Wow isn't reverting to classic, it's just giving those who want that version back to some degree (although it will never be the same) the option. You can still play retail if that's where you're more comfortable/if that's more rewarding for your lifestyle. ^^
I can't really give u an opinion, cause i never played classic. But if i think about some games which i played on N64 it's like "this was the greatest game ever", but if u start playing again its meh, doesn't feel good anymore. So maybe sometimes its better to let it be a memory.
