Wouldn't surprise me if they pulled this stunt just so they could hire a new team with significantly lower pay.
Actually, it is a workforce-focus shift. They removed customer support and eSport employees, and plan to hire more developers. The idea is to bring more games and content for those games. But of course that promo video feels "untrue" after that incident a couple of weeks ago
I think that was a good move on them. Sad for those people though lol. And sadly blizzard won't escape from that controversy even if it brings more positive changes.
true^^ people going "speak with your wallet!" should be aware that this is a consequence of their outrage and may really improve the quality of the games in the future.
