With them essentially drawing a line in the sand and giving one last warning. No more "banable but "tolerated"" but a very clear banable. Blizzard is really putting down the hammer, first Rexx, now this.

At least this is the tactful way to do it. Just hitting 6 month bans without warning was a no-go. NOW we have an official statement and everyone is aware of what will happen next time, if they continue using 3rd party programs.

It is a better way of handling things as I am sure it was an automated blanket ban, given the timing and everything. One size fits all punishment included. But ideally (or well, "ideally") it should have been just the statement of them changing their stance.

As the damage is already done now, this ban, even reverted, being the last straw for people.

I guess a lot of peeps will still use mods even knowning that they will be banned at the end. They got used to "their" wow and wont be continuing playing without it. If there was a legal way to use unharmful mods...
