This so much. Playing most MMOs nowadays feels sad, lonely, depressing. Nobody ever talks to others except for low-effort trash tier memes spam on global channels. Dungeon finders kill the sense of a tight community of players.

Really? I do not think so. If players do not speak with each other and only play the content they were PUGed too, it is because those players do NOT want to speak. Because basically they perfectly could after being formed into a group by the tool.

Dungeon finders are used to streamline a process of grinding dungeons, so chances are people only want to rush it to the end to do the next one. MMO gaming, unless you have a solid guild, is nowadays a lonely experience in a world full of loners.

exactly, as intended by those loners :D I would argue, as you said, that most players are of this kind. For those looking for long-lasting interactions the only answer is "Do any content with your Friends/Guild"

"Do content with friends" tends to become more and more difficult when you have to salvage your lives as adults. Anyways, it still doesn't change the fact that immediacy culture has killed intimate gaming.

I actually so, because even if they're convenient for people with limited game time (adulting sucks ass), they're still the gateway to the easy and comfortable way of playing a game meant for interaction without interacting with people, and this actually shows in real life too.
