Mixed feelings. Organically creating groups in chat was hard/long and could end with bad results. But the best results lead to long time friendships. Groupfinder got people together to "get the job done" in a timely manner.
Having so many alternatives (other content, other games) a lot of people would not waste their time by trying to form groups with randoms in global chats nowadays. Its just how online gaming has envolved.
